Three Step Winter Skincare Routine

Cleanse, tone, moisturise – skincare used to be so simple. These days it seems that everywhere I look there’s a new must-have product or procedure to add to the never-ending list of essentials for skincare and I just can’t keep up. Let’s get real, unless you’re a Kardashian or Beyonce nobody has time for a 12 step routine, so if you don’t fit into either of those categories keep reading because we’re going to change your winter skin with just 3 simple steps!

Step 1: Cleanse

The days of using your hands or harsh brushes and chemicals on your face are going out of fashion. Using a Foreo facial cleansing device with Kora Organics Foaming Cleanser will remove dirt, reduce blemishes and reveal softer and more youthful looking skin. The silicone design is hygienic, portable and comes in a range of sizes and colours suitable for all skin types.

Step 2: Prep

This is the step that would have traditionally involved using a toner, however most toners contain alcohol which can dry out the skin. As winter calls for soothing and hydrating your skin, switch to an essence, a toner-like substance with intense hydration. Shake a few drops into the palm of your hands and apply to your face and neck in a patting motion before applying your serum. Your serum is used to address specific issues like anti ageing, brightening and dark spots.

Step 3: Moisturise

After your skin has been cleansed, removing dirt, oil and dead skin cells, and prepped with an essence it’s time to moisturise! In the short term, proper hydration makes your skin look healthy, and in the long term allows your skin to perform at its’ peak, making it bright and resilient. It’s important to remember that this 3-step routine requires all the products to complement one another; you won’t get the most out of your products if they aren’t part of a consistent skin routine.
